The landscape around your home is very important from a Feng Shui perspective. You can use it to create good energy around your home and beautiful views from your window.
A great garden is medicine to the soul.
Water Element
A water feature, or the illusion of water, is an obvious way to add the Water element to your space. Using plants with a sprawling habit, common to the tropics, or large, wide leaves, dark foliage or flowers. The bat flower (Tacca chantrieri) exemplifies both the drama and mystery of the Water element.
Wood Element
Trees with pronounced vertical trajectory such as bald cypress or pine, a wooden sculpture or the use of vertical rectangles in design all convey the upward rising force of the Wood element.
Fire Element
Use a little whimsy and a lot of color. Loud, brightly colored flowers, fairy gardens, and garden lights are a great start.
Earth Element
Earth is welcoming and nurturing. Create nooks that make you want to come in and hang out in. Plant a vegetable garden and fruit trees.
Metal Element
Use neutral colors, bonsai elements, metallic sculptures, and a minimalistic approach.
